Interesting observations:

  • Spinach stimulates the growth of vegetables
  • Thyme repels bean aphids
  • Garlic planted among roses or between strawberries increases disease resistance
  • Plant high and low in the same area
  • Basil improves the taste of tomatoes
  • Dill improves the taste of cabbage
  • Dandelion accelerates ripening
  • Fragrant herbs work well on almost all vegetables.
  • If nettle, valerian, yarrow are planted along the edges of the beds, the plants grow healthier and more stable.
  • All celeriacs (carrots, parsnips, parsley, celery) pair well with onions (garlic, onions, leeks, shallots)
  • For cabbage - dill, sage, thyme will attract beneficial insects
  • Trap plants among vegetables and roses - nasturtium (ground fleas and aphids move to it)
  • Mustard attracts caterpillars
