MODE OF APPLICATION
Hair preparation: do not wash your hair for at least 24 hours before coloring. Your natural fat protects the scalp from irritation. Also, your hair should be free of any residue from styling and hair treatments (including conditioners, 2 in 1 shampoos, etc.).
Test your chosen color. It's best to stay within one to two shades of your natural hair color (the color of growing roots). If you are unsure of the color you have chosen, test on sections of hair before applying to all hair. If you cannot decide between two tones, it is better to choose a lighter tone.
Sensitivity test: Although Herbatint is suitable for sensitive skin, it is always recommended to perform a sensitivity test 48 hours before use (in order to determine the possible intolerance of some of the ingredients contained in the product).
Prepare your painting tools: Make sure you have everything you need (brush, protective cpe, plastic or glass bowl). Depending on the length, density and porosity of your hair, the contents of the Herbatint box can be used once or twice. In general, if the hair is short to medium length, you can mix 30 ml of dye (Herbatint Gel) and 30 ml of conditioner (Developer). If you have very long and thick hair, then you will need another package for the first use.a
3 SIMPLE STEPS IN HAIR COLORING
Prepare the paint: Wear gloves and a protective cape (or old towels or T-shirt). In a plastic or glass container (not metal), mix equal amounts of coloring gel and oxidizing agent (in a 1: 1 ratio) and mix until a homogeneous gel consistency. The bottle cap can be used as a dispenser (1 cap = 5 ml). Close bottles after use and store until next use. All mixed products must be used, they cannot be left for the next time.
How to mix two or more shades: With Herbatint you can mix two or more shades to create a unique shade. But remember that you must always mix the same amount of coloring gel and oxidizer. Therefore, if you want to mix 2 shades in equal proportions, for example 6N and 7D, then you should use 30 ml of 6N, 30 ml of 7D (= 60 ml of coloring gel) and 60 ml of oxidizer.
Apply Herbatint and wait:
Apply a layer of Royal cream conditioner (tester included in the package) to dry, unwashed hair with a brush, avoiding contact with the scalp.
For colored hair: using a brush, apply the dye to the regrown hair roots, leave for 30 minutes, then apply the remaining dye to the remaining hair, leave for another 10 minutes (total dyeing time 40 minutes).
For uncolored hair: using a brush, apply the dye to dry, unwashed hair along the entire length, comb through well, leave for 40 minutes.
When dyeing, the hair color may differ from the final color, but this does not affect the result.
It is important to adhere to the staining time.
Wash hair and apply conditioner
Tilt your head back to avoid getting paint in your eyes and rinse thoroughly with water until the water runs clear. Wash your hair with shampoo, dry with a towel. Apply hair conditioner for 5 minutes, rinse, dry and style hair as usual.
How to do a sensitivity test:
We strongly recommend that you do a sensitivity test, as some people may develop an allergic reaction or irritation. Please follow these simple steps:
Rinse with water and dry a small area of skin on the inside of the elbow or behind the earlobe.
Mix in a plastic or glass container 1: 1 a few drops of coloring gel and oxidizing agent. Close bottles with lids.
Apply the mixture to a patch and adhere to the skin area to be tested.
Let dry and wait 48 hours. If there are no reactions, feel free to use Herbatint paints. If you experience redness, irritation, stinging or burning in the area being tested, rinse thoroughly with cold water and do not color your hair. If the problem persists, you should consult your doctor.
Caution: Hair dyes can cause severe allergic reactions. Read and follow the instructions carefully. A sensitivity test must be carried out 48 hours prior to use. This product is not intended for use by people under 16 years of age. Temporary black henna tattoos increase the risk of allergies. Do not color your hair if you have an itchy face or a sensitive, irritated, or damaged scalp. This product is not intended for use on eyebrows and eyelashes (may cause blindness). Avoid contact with eyes. Rinse immediately with water if product comes into contact with eyes. The product is not intended for use on beards or mustaches. Wear gloves. Keep away from children. Contains phenylenediamine and peroxide hydroxide. Mixing ratio 1:1. Store at a temperature of 10 to 30C in a dry place away from direct rays. The manufacturer and distributor is not responsible for misuse or unsatisfactory user results. Therefore, we recommend that you carefully follow the instructions.
For optimal coverage of gray hair:
Shades from 1N to 8N - 100% coverage of gray hair from the first application. Due to their low pigment content, shades 9N and 10N must be mixed with a small amount of 8N to achieve optimal gray coverage. If you have more than 30% gray hair and have chosen series C (ash), R (copper), D (gold), M (mahogany), then for optimal coverage of gray hair, mix the selected color (for example 4R) with the color of the corresponding natural series (4N). The higher the % of gray hair, the higher the % of natural series coloring gel (N) should be used (see table).
For example, if your hair is mostly gray (more than 60%) and you chose shade 4R, you should mix 40 ml of 4N with 20 ml of 4R color gel and add 60 ml of conditioner for a 1:1 match (see paragraph how to mix two or more shades).

Dyed and processed hair: what to do?
Bleached hair: Herbatint can restore hair to its natural color. If you want to get your hair 2-3 shades darker within 6N and lighter, we recommend mixing the Gold (D) series with the natural (N) series. If your goal is 5N and darker, add Copper (R series) and avoid C series (ash). In both cases, we recommend reducing the staining time by 10 minutes.
Permanent waving: Do not use hair dye immediately after permanent waving. We recommend waiting 2 weeks, using a shade lighter than your target, and reducing the staining time by 10 minutes.
Henna hair: Henna creates a barrier around the hair, making it difficult for the dye to penetrate. You should wait until the hair grows back.

Herbatint paint - No. 1 according to a review in the magazine "60 Millions de Consommateurs" (publication of the French National Institute of Consumers).
During the review, 18 hair colors were tested, among which were not only well-known brands (Schwarzkopf, Garnier, Palette, L’Oreal Paris), but also brands that position themselves as natural (Herbatint, Naturtint, Eugene Color). In compiling the rating, various aspects that are important for the buyer were taken into account: effectiveness (painting over gray hair), color duration, sensations during dyeing, label, toxicological properties, allergies. Herbatint (colour 4M) was chosen as number one - the paint covered gray hair, provided a long-lasting effect, gave an absolutely satisfactory color with a natural shade. The main reason for choosing this particular paint is the use of the least amount of components in the formulation that can increase sensitivity or become toxic. Therefore, the use of Herbatint color minimizes the health risks associated with the use of permanent color.
