Geranium is an excellent balancing oil with a delicious, fresh, green, rose-like scent.

This versatile essential oil is especially popular with women.

Absolute Aromas Geranium Essential Oil is made from non-agrochemical geraniums certified by the Soil Association.

Extraction method: The oil is obtained by steam sublimation of the plant leaves.

Oil appearance: from transparent green to light green.

Although Geranium Bourbon, which is sourced from La Reunion Island (formerly known as Ile de Bourbon, 500 miles east of Madagascar), is considered a high quality oil, many prefer the lighter and more subtle scent of Egyptian geranium. The species is the same, but the growth conditions determine this difference between the two types.

Geranium oil deodorizes, cleanses and cheers up, and also has good insect repellent properties.

Try mixing 1 drop of geranium with 2 drops of lavender and 2 drops of mandarin in a teaspoon of sweet almond oil for use in a relaxing, refreshing bath or as a massage oil.

Alternatively, mix the same oils with two teaspoons of peach seed oil for a deliciously scented body moisturizer. In a diffuser or aroma lamp, geranium oil combines perfectly with citrus oils.

After a long flight, try mixing 2 drops of geranium and 1 drop each of juniper and lavender in 10 ml of peach seed oil. Massage your ankles to stimulate blood and lymph circulation.
Usage: dissolve 3-5 drops in 10 ml of base oil.
